Greyhound

Greyhounds originated in ancient Egypt, where carvings in tombs clearly depict Greyhound-like dogs. Swift and graceful, the fastest of all dogs, with speeds of up to 45 mph, Greyhounds can outrun a horse in a sprint and jump great heights.

Greyhounds are sight hounds - they rely on their vision more than their sense of smell. They have keen eyesight for fast moving objects, like running hares. Their bodies are tall and slender. Their coats are sleek and smooth. They walk with dignity and grace.
