"The point of view and composition in Penguins is amazing. This painting contains mystery and anticipation. I was struck by the obscured identity in all of the figures. It made me think of expectations, reality and disappointments that can happen on an outing with kids. The use of local color and size creates a nostalgic sentimental feeling. For example, in Death Vs.Vampire Huntress the figure’s face is obscured. This to me, is a nod to reality - giving the work complexity. Your paintings are very beautiful- you show the world from a child’s perspective. I want to know more about what is happening in each scene- in a world around children."
