BICHON FRISE
framed art

Bichons Frises hark back to
the Mediterranean, particularly
Spain and France. The Spanish
painter Francisco de Goya included
these dogs in many of his works.

Beginning around the fourteenth
century, Spanish sailors brought
Bichons Frises along as companions
while traveling between continents.

The dogs were so friendly, they
helped sailors bond with strangers
in foreign countries, and they were
also used for bartering. Despite
being sailor companions, Bichons
Frises dislike water.

Compact with baby doll faces -
fluffy white coats and black eyes.

They love to be loved.
